A question I occasionally get is my reasoning for choosing padpad.me.uk as a domain name, especially with it not being a .com or even a .co.uk. Plus what is the significance of the name?
Whilst a .com would be great, both in terms of SEO and memorability, it is significantly pricier and also trickier to get the precise one you would want. A .co.uk could be slightly less costly, but since I am not a business and I view this as an information site about me, I don't think it's relevant in my case!
Admitedly, the choice of padpad is a bit less practical. 'padpad' along with 'padme' was a University nickname and I was at University when I purchased the domain.
I shall probably purchase additional domains in the future, but this serves the purpose for now!
